The Psychic Vultures Have Begun Circling.

2009 July 7

It seems Michael Jackson has been doing some interviews since his death. I knew it wouldn’t be long before some tacky medium crawled out from under a rock to announce that they had spoken to Michael, I was just wondering which one of them would be first. It seems likeJames Van Praagh is the winner after having claimed that he had spoken to the singer just two days after he collapsed and died while rehearsing for his upcoming concert. According to Van Praagh, Michael said that there was no foul play in his death and that on the day he died he had……

“…. felt sick that day, very sick. My doctor Conrad told me to rest, but I had to practice moves for my upcoming concert. I was tired, very tired, then I collapsed,”

Investigations since the singer’s death seem to point to an accidental overdose of some unknown drug, while Van Praagh seems to think that Michael was feeling ill, but being a spinner of bullshit, he can always say that Michael was feeling ill from the effects of the drug.

Next Van Praagh asks Michael where he is; Jackson responds by saying that he is “surrounded by happiness…..”. A vague and meaningless statement that tells us absolutely nothing; think of it a superfluous filler between already known facts.

I found the next quote from the report interesting…….

When asked about his children, Jackson started crying. “I miss them a lot. I want them to be happy. I will be with them… in their hearts, will be looking over their shoulders.”

(my bold)

Michael Jackson was well known for his love of children, surely the first thing he would talk about or be concerned about when speaking from beyond the grave, would be his children? Why would he need to be asked? Is the “other side” so marvellous and wonderful that dead people forget about what was so important to them in life that they need to be reminded of it?

Van Praagh then asks Michael about where he’d like to be buried, and he responds by saying………

“Neverland Ranch. I do not miss my body. I do not feel anything. I am happier without it. I can only remember pain that my body gave me.”

Hinting that Michael was unhappy about himself was a brilliant insight, James! After years of plastic surgery and drastically altering his looks, none of us mere mortals would have guessed that Michael was unhappy with the way he looked.

Unfortunately, we have to watch Oprah to hear what else Michael Jackson had to say to James Van Praagh from the “other side”.

The next psychic vulture who claims to have spoken to Michael since his death is none other than Sylvia Browne, who said that Michael identified himself by……..

“……… by moving my desk. The desk started trembling, then it moved a feet or two away from me. He wrote his name on my desk,” she said. “This was Michael’s sign of life.”

Picture it, you’re a self proclaimed psychic medium in touch with a world famous celebrity on the “other side of the veil” and the only thing you can think of to get him to identify himself is to ask him to move your desk!? Why not ask him to appear to you and moonwalk? Why not ask him to sing the first verse of one of his songs?
Oh, but what’s that you say, Sylvia? He wrote his name on your desk? Doesn’t count as evidence that you spoke to Michael Jackson, unless you filmed his ghostly hand actually writing his name on your desk in front of a couple other unbiased witnesses.

Psychic mediums like James Van Praagh, Sylvia Browne and John Edward, who claim to speak with the dead are the lowest of the low when it comes to scam artists. They prey on innocent people when they’re at their most vulnerable and do it for nothing other than self promotion and profit. They just love it when it’s a celebrity who “passes on” because there is just so much information out in the public domain for them to “research” their subjects.
Disgusting bullshit artists, the whole lot of them!

You are very sad…my friend. You should first find out if the information is true. I am sorry to inform you but you are mistaken. I have NEVER claimed to speak to Michael Jackson..didn’t know him….and if I did it would be held in confidence with his family.

Please check your sources before your postings..

    Peace to you,
    James Van Praagh

James, before I wrote my post I went and checked your website, there were no announcements refuting the article I linked to, but then any publicity is good publicity as the saying goes.
Are you saying that you have not had any “contact” with Michael Jackson since his death? Have you not had any “feelings” or “sense of energy” from him?

I find it interesting that you would feel the need to correct me for saying that you “spoke” Michael Jackson, yet you have nothing to say about the overall message of my post – that psychic meduims are nothing but scam artists.

Seems to me that James is saying he never claimed to have spoke to MJ – in other words…he didn’t go on oprah and say any of those things….so where did you get your information that he did? James did answer your question…he said he never claimed to have spoken with MJ…and if he did he obviously isn’t talking about it – I think YOU want to know if he did – why should James have to answer you? What right do you have to ask him those things? I don’t know whether or not James is really psychic by the way…just seems obvious you are out of line.

      Hi ok,
The post was based on a tongue in cheek article – which I linked to – about psychics, who will no doubt fall over themselves to say they have spoken to Michael Jackson. I do know that James had a special forum open on his website on the day of MJ’s first memorial service, in which he stated that while he was watching MJ’s funeral, he had felt MJ’s energy and presence. Not quite the supernatural chat that was written about in the article, but a claim that he had “made contact” with MJ’s energy nonetheless. Give James and the other well known psychics a couple of months and I can bet you that each one will make a claim about talking to MJ in their next book.

I don’t want to know if he spoke to MJ or not – I know he can’t. I just don’t like psychics who rip people off by taking their money when they’re vulnerable or when a celebrity who dies, they try and puff up their own importance and will say anything to keep themselves in the spotlight – it’s disgusting and an insult to the families who are grieving.

I hope you will come back and explain why you think I was out of line or why I have no right to question James. I think I have every right to question him about what he claims to be able to do, don’t you question people who make outrageous claims?

Please read my post above this one about how psychics operate and link to the James Randi foundation to learn about how his One Million Dollar Prize has still not been claimed by anyone ( including James Van Praagh) who says that they have supernatural/extraordinary abilities. Also, if you are able to, watch the video of Derren Brown that I linked to – it’s an excellent demonstration of cold reading.
